Favorite Moment

We swam in a sea of tulle today.

My MIL and I worked the entire day preparing trick-or-treat costumes for Chanelle and Meadow.  I’m certain that I will dream of tulle tonight.  At this moment, I can still feel the material intertwined in my fingers and hear it’s slight rustling when it’s rubbed together.  Tulle is likely to haunt me for awhile, but let me tell you. . . it was worth it.  Every second was worth it for the end result.

I can’t wait to share it with you.

We’ve got a big week coming up.  Two birthday’s to celebrate, visits from friends, visits to family, more house showings, oh and did I mention two birthdays?

I’ll be back with more later, but wanted to bid you a Happy Weekend and leave you with my favorite moment of the week.

The girls and I ventured to the park near our home one morning before lunch.  The park was big and I hung out by the slides with Meadow while Chanelle meandered around the open field in the distance.

The sun was in my eyes and I couldn’t see Chanelle very well.  This is when I’m thankful for a zoom lens.

I peered through my lens and watched her from afar.

Oblivious to me.  Oblivious to anything.  Such joy. . .

Such infectious joy. . .

She was only in that moment. . .

And for that moment. . .

So was I.

Oh this girl. . . I have much to learn from her.

β€œDon’t you hear it? She asked & I shook my head no & then she
started to dance & suddenly there was music everywhere & it went
on for a very long time & when I finally found words all I could
say was thank you. ”

I don't know what it was… not enough coffee yet this morning… or just feeling a little emotional or something… but this made me full on tear up. I love that you were able to catch those moments with the dandelions. So much fun. And that Storypeople? One of my favorites.

    Thank you.ReplyCancel
