Every Day

                                                        “So every day
                                                         So every day. . .
I was surrounded by the beautiful crying forth
of the ideas of God. . . “
                                                      -Mary Oliver

I got around to making our bed at 7:30 today.  Seven-thirty tonight, that is.  It has just been that kind of week.  School started this week.  First for Chanelle, then for Charlie.  We’ve been running more than sitting.  In the car, more than in the house.  Monday and Tuesday seem like a blur.

Despite the crazy, the setting of the sun each evening reminds me.  Reminds me of the beauty around me.  I am calmed by the rhythmic sound of Meadows breathing, I am awed by the sly smile that spreads across Chanelle’s face, and I am amazed at the depth I see in Charlie’s eyes.

So many thoughts. . . thoughts for another night.  For now, the bed that I just made is wooing me.  Who am I to ignore it’s calls?

Wishing each one of you a lovely Wednesday.

I love that picture! And I love being reminded to appreciate all of the beauty around me. There really is SO much beauty in this world, we just have to open our eyes to see it. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, as well 🙂ReplyCancel

I know how ya feel, friend! 🙂 It has definitely been an "ADJUSTING TO A NEW ROUTINE" kind of a week. But you are so right, the sunset is a good reminder that all is well…all is pretty…all our needs are supplied– Because HE is in control if His creation and His people! I find this time of evening (sun set) to be one of my favorite part to each day.

    I love your thoughts. 😉

And because of V, when I read the title to this, my mind immediately started playing (Every day I'm shufflin'…). Ahhh…pop music loved by babies. Ha. 😉ReplyCancel
