would you mind posting the bread recipe here, or on the Gluten Free and Good group on facebook? i'm ok w/ gf dessert baking, but gf breads from scratch still kind of terrify me. based on your MIL's response, though, i might just be willing to give it a whirl again. thanks!! (and happy friday!)ReplyCancel

It’s 9:16 p.m. I’m sitting in our living room next to a dimly lit lamp.  Across the room, my husband sits in the dark with his phone in hand. . . He’s probably playing Scrabble or pursuing Facebook or Twitter.  American Idol is on the television and we intermittently glance at the screen and comment […]

It's funny, isn't it? I was just thinking something similar. I was thinking that it's been years since I've written or received a romantic love letter from my hubby, but that's probably because we don't live 3000 miles away from each other, and actually get to tell each other with a hug and a kiss that we love each other every day. A little less exciting, but way better.ReplyCancel

I took an extensive personality test as part of my program in graduate school.  Actually, I was given numerous personality tests.  As strange as it may seem, I thoroughly enjoyed taking these tests. I found it fascinating to see my character traits displayed in black and white, right before my eyes.  It was like going […]

Oh, how I've missed your blog. We've been without power for 3 days. Did I miss my computer, the internet, etc.? Nope. It was NICE to just be with my family, enjoy them with no distractions. But, honestly, I missed your blog. It's become my daily inspiration.

…and this post made me smile. I'm teaching a management course and we discuss personality types a lot. My students just did a personality test and I was going to post it on my blog – before our power loss. It's all so interesting.

I think your traits are amazing. …and you seem to be doing a great job raising your children to be amazing little people as well.ReplyCancel

I ran into the grocery store today and couldn’t help but notice so many people rushing from one isle to the next without making eye contact with one another.  When I was on my way to the checkout, I passed by one gentleman who seemed to be taking his time as if he had nowhere […]

I still cry each time I leave my Dad’s house.  It’s silly, I know.  His house has not been my “home” for well over ten years. That doesn’t matter. . .I still get teary eyed each time I leave.  There is just something about going “home”.  We did that this weekend. . .we went “home”. […]
