This is how it went:  We carried a big sheet out to the shaded backyard. The sun hoovered high in the sky and its rays sneakily found their way through the leaves in the trees. We took great care to find an area where our dog had refrained from doing her “business” and since I […]

    Sisters are so special.

And I hope one day that Lila writes a post JUST like this about Vivienne.

Sometimes I require myself to think about things that I don’t want to think about because I think if I think about them it might make me feel better. . . even if I feel worse at first. My house is silent and three sleepy heads rest on three pillows behind three bedroom doors.  I […]

I love the pictures!!! Glad you got to dress like a princess too!!!How cool. This pictures are def framers:) She was so much fun yesterday:) It's good to sit back and remember and see how far we have come. Going to a Bible Study on James. And James 1 talks about trials. God gives them to us to grow us in His faith to become more like HIM. Do they hurt? Yes. Do we want to go through them? No. But how much better are we as a person when we do???? Life is so full of uncertainies. And we don't understand. Just have to hang on to God's hand and have Faith. Good blog sweetie:)ReplyCancel

Oh what a wonderful day! You two are so blessed to have each other. God sure does know what he's doing when he places our children in our lives. You are living your life with such purpose – it leave little, little room for regrets! Thank you for sharing this journey with us readers!ReplyCancel

I just love them. Each Monday evening I close the door to my office and I walk down a long hallway before exiting the building where I work.  As I make the trek from my office to my car, my mind is caught up in the events of the day.  I reflect on moments with […]

Ah, I wish we were neighbors. I adore your love for your children. And how much you ENJOY them. I can't seem to find that around us. Everyone complains endlessly about their kids. It's so nice to 'know' someone like myself…maybe I'm not so weird as to enjoy my children so much; even when they are being difficult. Time goes too fast. 😉ReplyCancel

O Summer You said it!!!! That is the one thing God has taught me through the years of Lupus, Fibromyalgia is that there are more important things than laundry, a perfect house, etc…..
But your children and hubby and of course #1 God, our friends that is what matters. The rest will happen. Not that we always give in, they have to learn that sometimes other things need to be done, but its a good time for them to learn to help. O I can't wait till tomorrow and Sat:):)

Love you. You just know how to say it!!!!ReplyCancel

Who among us has not heard this quote by Lao Tzu? “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”  I’ve always liked it. (Of course I do. . . It has the word “mile” in it.)  Such words make my runner ears perk up and immediately I pay attention.  As someone who has […]

I declared a truce with winter. It happened on Friday morning, during what I’m pretty sure was our 73rd snow storm of the season.  We sat down, Old Man Winter and I, and we had a chat. And since I understand the art of negotiation, I took great care to talk in such a way […]

I am on my fifth or sixth batch of these chocolate chip cookies! Thank you so much for sharing!

The cookies prompted a middle-of-the-day text to my dad on a random Tues to see if he was in town working… and he stopped by and had a warm one out of the oven with me and Miss J.

The kids helped me make them for my dad after his knee surgery…. And we made a BIG cookie for R-man's b-day party and decorated it like the top of R2D2. My dad then decided that from now on his birthday cake needs to be a huge chocolate cookie.

(Do you see a common denominator here? My dad…. )

Thank you, though! They are the best!ReplyCancel
