Slowly but surely we’re getting there.  After a long week of wiping noses, sucking down medicine, and laying low, everyone seems to be getting better.  Chad and Charlie are as good as new.  Chanelle is close behind with just a slight runny nose and Meadow and I are bringing up the rear with lingering congestion.  […]

I'm so glad you all are feeling better!

I believe you are right, M & V would make a great couple. And I think Chanelle and S could be the best of friends too.ReplyCancel

What a beautiful place!!! I've taken Jack on walks and runs and had him stop and look at me like he thinks I'm crazy if he is going to walk further!

    Glad y'all are feeling better!!!ReplyCancel

This is our bathroom counter.  There is no staging. . . it looks like a pharmacy.  How does the commercial go?  Something like. . . “The night-time sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy head, fever, so- you-can-rest medicine.”  Those words describe how I’ve been over the last few days.  Not only me, but Chad, Charlie, Chanelle, […]

Several weeks ago Chad told me he would likely be working on Saturday the 21st (this past Saturday).  I won’t lie, even though they are rare, I’m not a fan of his Saturday work days.  He works such long, hard hours all week, I count the hours until we are all together during the weekend.  […]

Have you ever witnessed a scene, inhaled a scent, or heard a noise that triggers a memory of a time that has long since been forgotten?  There you are minding your own business and out of nowhere a memory comes flooding back as if you were right there, experiencing it again.  I had this experience […]

This is so true and a great reminder to all of us. It's not our plan, it's their plan. We are just blessed to watch it unfold. 😉

I think you guys are setting a great example of health and fitness through FUN. That is so wonderful to see.ReplyCancel

So true: We can make OUR plans but we need to Let GOD make and take them on HIS PLAN: which is so much more than we can even imagine!! Proud of you to know that they will take their plans and you will be ok with this. As a mom of two college kids I can say it's not always easy!!! But have to place them in GOd's hands and let them go. Read Stormie Ortamines book when they were young and prayed those prayers. Power of praying mom. Now I am reading Power of praying for your adult children. Awesome books!! very insightful and helpful. What great pics though and that they want to run with dad now. Just wait and see they may just do that… plus so much more!!.ReplyCancel

WOW! I had this very same conversation with Brian not too long ago. It was so easy to plan Gavin's future running "career" when I saw how excited he was to be on the track. I can't wait to see what path he chooses (although we can "guide" some…and if that guiding is an evening walk that just happens to end at the track, well…). I too, will never forget sitting in the surgeons office our senior year and when my Mom looked at the doc and said "no more shots, put it in a cast and let it heal." I didn't understand then, but NOW I get it.ReplyCancel
