Running Chatter

I just started writing a post that was way too involved to write tonight.  In short, I’ve been lost in the murky mush that is my mind and I think I need to do a bit more sorting out before I publish my ramblings on the blog.  I think a night like tonight calls for something a bit, shall we say, less involved?

It’s been awhile. . . Running Chatter. . .

1.  Dancer
We have music on in our house a lot.  Our tastes range from one end of the spectrum to the other.  We’ve found that the youngest member of our family is a dancer.  As soon as Meadow hears a beat she is bouncing her whole body up and down.  Her spine rises and falls at the same speed as her arm.  It’s quite a sight. . .

Girlfriend knows how to move.

2.  Good Intentions
I was so excited to have Charlie home on Monday.  I thought it would be fun to plan an activity we could all do together.  I found this simple craft if Family Fun magazine and the kids were pumped to give it a try.

Marshmallows, ginger, cinnamon. . . simple right?   Well, it was simple until Charlie thought it would be fun to turn the opened container of sugar upside down and Meadow grabbed a handful of shredded cheese and threw it on the floor.

That’s our kitchen floor.  Classy, no?

Believe it or not, I kept my cool and we happily finished our craft.

. . . though slightly  far less pretty than the picture.

Chanelle did eat one, though.

3.  P.J.’s in the Park
I picked Charlie up after school one day and he had on his pajamas.  (Don’t worry, it was p.j. day.)  We had a showing on the house and couldn’t go home for an hour.

I’m sure I looked like Mother of the Year.  Four o’clock in the afternoon and my son was in his p.j.’s.  Yep, we just roll with the punches.

4.  Cool.

That was cool.

Yes, Meadow was waving

That’s all.

5.  Her Own Style

I’m seeing signs of it everywhere.  Meadow?  She’s just got her own style. . .

Sporting a Mohawk at 1.  Girlfriend’s got style.

6.  Christmas Goodies

We are continuing to spread Christmas goodness around our house.  Chanelle prepared the advent calender and filled the candy jar to full.

One last thing. . . the tree.  I can’t wait!!

7.  My Little Explorers
The temperatures are getting cooler now and the daylight hours are far too short for my liking.  Still, we just can’t help it.  Chad and I are raising explores who love the outdoors.

When the temperatures hit their highest point of the day, we bundle up and make our way outside.  The fresh air does wonders for all of us.

The older they get the more I enjoy taking a few steps back just to watch them and listen to them.  My kids?  They are friends.

I hope it stays this way.

Of course, I know it will change and there will be different seasons in their lives, but man. . . I hope they are always friends.

8.  Music
I miss having music on the blog.  I’m still on a search for a replacement for MixPod.

9.  Pie
If you like Lemon Meringue Pie I’ve got a quick and easy recipe for you. . .

Okay, I don’t, but All Recipe’s does.  Find it here.  It receives rave reviews.

**************************************
That’s all for tonight.  I’m going to reenter the murky waters of my brain and will (hopefully) return soon with clearer thoughts.

Chatter, Out.

When in the world did Meadow get so big? She looks like a toddler! No, no, no… that can not be.

I laughed out loud over your Family Fun craft. Sophia and I saw that in the magazine and she suggested we try to make it. I instantly had visions of how craptastic ours would look. Yours look marvelous compared to what I envisioned. We did the oreo, chocolate covered donut to look like a snowman one instead. 😉 In short, you are awesome!ReplyCancel

I enjoyed this post. And I look forward to reading whatever it is that remains unpublished… (I've got a few of those myself…)

And I have to say, Meadow clearly has her own style. I love the dancing photos and I love her style. I can't wait to see this wee-one grow up.ReplyCancel

Meadow does seem to have her own style!! Love it!! And that mohawk is just too cute!

I think your craft project is cute, and I am sure the kids had fun! (I will not even take a picture of our kitchen floor…it is so gross!)

Love that we can take our kids outside more this winter, we were out this past weekend. It really does help with feeling good!ReplyCancel
