My house is a mess.  A serious mess.  Usually, I try to keep up on those things, but lately. . . I’ve been behind.  We returned home from Florida and I’ve been running on a treadmill ever since.  Running and not getting anywhere, that is.  Laundry is piled outside the washer, sitting still inside the […]

O Summer Your house doesn't have to be perfect!!!! Believe me mine isn't except when Jill is here:) Just ask Charlie:) It is one thing God has taught me it doesn't matter, other things are more important!!! Although it's nice when it is:) Should have a full time housekeeper:) But being with family is more important!!!! Looks like fun!! The wash will always be there, the dishes, whatever but the kids will grow up. I say have Chad do it:) Or I know Charlie is a pretty good clothes folder. mmm Maybe I need to borrow him:) Take care and I am glad to know you are not perfect!! I still love you!!!ReplyCancel

How, oh how, oh how do you make me tear up EVERY TIME I read this blog?

    🙂

You know, you remind me that everyday I need to make a conscious decision to BE with my babies and not just take care of them.

    Thanks for that reminder.ReplyCancel

Really, I think I did.  It was as if I didn’t realize how the dreary skies and cold temperatures were affecting me. . . but after spending several days in sunshine and 80 degree temps, I was ready to go house hunting. I have been visiting Naples, Florida since I was 10 years old.  In […]

Ah, I've missed you. I'm so glad you had such an amazing time on your vacation. I agree about the feeling you get when out of town/state/on vacation…it's almost like a feeling of being invisible. No one knows you, so you can completely relax. I love that feeling.

That photo of the spider web is amazing.ReplyCancel

Thanks for sharing the pics, Summer. We honeymooned to Marco Island and spent a day in Napels. Seeing your pics brought back memories…especially the everglades. Someday we'll get back there too…probably with kids in toe! So glad you had a great trip!ReplyCancel

I wonder how many times that blog title has been used.  Really, these have been the highlights of our week.  As I mentioned earlier, we attended an event that was quite fun, but was also for a very good cause.  Have you heard of Mongolia?  It’s a country in Asia and a place that my […]

We were on the same sick boat! In fact, your father-n-law came over to go over landscaping ideas with us and I just didn't have the heart to breathe all over him, so I let Burke make most of the decisions…and I laid on the couch. Uht oh, probably not smart on my part. 🙂 Anways, I just want to say that I think you and I could really connect well! I just love your thoughts on your blog. Sounds like our hubbies have been talking and we may be going on a double date soon! Yippee.

Hope you feeling much better! And I agree with the comment up above…YOU ARE MAKING A HUGE IMPACT in this world. 🙂

    Blessings

Yes, Summer You and others like me are where we are supposed to be at this time. We can help and be a part of the Mongolia trip by praying for those going (including my son) and buying beautiful jewlery made by beautiful women who have had such a horrible life. I am so glad that K & C are so passionate about it and others. It makes me excited too. I love the pictures of he kids!! I hope Charlie cleaned up that mess he made:)(inside joke) I would have fit in a suitcase but that's ok. On way to office. At least the sun is shinning today!!!!:) Have a wonderful time. Praying for you all. Give love to all. And tell kids we are takig care of animals:)ReplyCancel

That’s me.  I’m a sick blogger.  Most of the weekend was spent in bed.  Sick.  Blah. I was able to escape the confines of the bedroom for a short time to attend an event that was quite spectacular.  I’d like to tell you how I laughed from the deepest parts of my belly and how […]

I have this book called, The Artist’s Way Every Day.  The book offers one insight for each of the 365 days in a year.  An insight to encourage, challenge, inspire, or provoke the reader toward greater creativity.  Today I flipped open the book and my eyes landed on this statement:  “Life is made of small […]

This is so true. I used to always be in a rush, in a hurry, before children. They really make me slow down and see all that is beautiful around me. I'm glad no one told me about that either. It's my favorite part of motherhood.ReplyCancel
