What if the words I say to them really matter? What if they are really watching how I relate to others? What if they are truly observing how I view myself? When if they are listening when I think they aren’t? What if they are learning by the way I love their dad? What if […]

Simply beautiful words. Your babies are very lucky to have such an insightful mom! You are very blessed.

My babies are out of the preschool age and these things that you wrote are the things that are written on my heart…I think about everyday with all of my actions.

    Again, thanks for sharing! 🙂ReplyCancel

Have you ever played that game where random personal questions are presented and all who are playing respond with their personal answer?  You know?  Questions like:  What was your scariest moment?  When was the last time you cried?  Who is your hero?  What makes you laugh? You get the point. I love that game.  In […]

I'm at a beige point in my life right now…and I just need to turn it around. Thanks for sharing this!
🙂 I'm going to spend some time really reflecting on this today.ReplyCancel

Oh! This is fun. And I especially love the photo of your sweet baby girl STRAPPED IN to her car seat next to her brother… on the couch.

I think you're right that everyday life can seem very beige…

…but I love that you decided that you're really RED. I love that.

(We recently painted our walls tan. The color was "berber carpet." I was seirously like, "What?! When did I become so boring?")

That said, I think I'm orange. I always identify with orange. It's not as fire-y as red. But it's still warm, and excitable, and sour and sweet.

    I'd say orange.

    (Great post.)ReplyCancel

car seats on the couch? somehow this totally fits your life….

anyway, i'm going with grass green. not lime, not regular crayon green, but grass. i choose this color right now because it represents life. it is vibrant, but can blend in and coordinate with other colors when needed.ReplyCancel

I had no idea that when I started writing this blog. . . I would be changed. . . I didn’t know that this community of which I have been a silent observer for many years could impact my life so greatly.  I had no clue that reading your blogs would both inspire me and […]

It has been seven days since my last run.  I haven’t gone that long since Chanelle was born.  The pain in my foot remains the same and the reality of running a marathon this fall is looking less and less likely.  As this reality has set in I have found myself walking around in a […]

I still remember it like it was yesterday.  In my minds eye I can see my Dad sitting across from me and holding his hand open to display all five of his fingers. He was once again imparting yet another life lesson in one of his talks. . .or what my siblings and I liked […]

Friendships definitely change and grow!! One of my best friends and I met in the nursery at church. We were in school together til the 8th grade. We went to the same college. We had a gigantic falling out which almost resulted in me not being in her wedding. We made up and even though she's in Florida and I'm in NC she is still one of those people who knows and understands me best and vice versa 🙂ReplyCancel
