It’s windy and chilly outside.  It seems that the leaves are getting crisp before my eyes.  The sun appears to shine differently and the clouds seem bigger, fluffier. . . like they are putting on extra weight in preparation for winter’s cold.  Shorts and t-shirts are exchanged for jeans and sweatshirts.  The relaxed pace of […]

Here is one more thing to add to our list of things we have in common…we both LOVE FALL! My favorite season too! 🙂ReplyCancel

There are many nights when I approach what I so endearingly call, my dungeon, and I know exactly what I want to write and the memories I want to record.  The words come with an ease as the thoughts have been flooding my mind throughout the day.  Tonight, however, it doesn’t feel quite so easy. […]

Perhaps part of your reason for this blog is because you can't make that phone call but you can write all of what you wanted to tell your mom? You are still talking to her just in a different way.
Chanelle's tutu outfit, that is just fabulous!!! Wonderful pictures!!!ReplyCancel

As I read this, it didn't take long to tear up, BUT what a sweet way to get those thoughts and feelings out of your system as you share the things you'd love to be able to share with your mom. Its all so healthy! I want to thank you for the last paragraph of this post…

"What this journey is teaching me is that it is okay to feel what I feel. In fact, it is vital for healing to allow myself to feel all of it. To walk through it with confidence that each step is one step further than I was. . . and each step proving once again that. . . I'm going to be okay".

This is a good reminder to me that it is OKAY to feel sad and upset over our loss with Breckin. Sometimes I start to feel sad and say to myself, "snap out of it, JoEllen" When really I just need to FEEL IT and let it out.

I KNOW that this BLOG was meant to be! You are so encouraging and just by reading all these posts, it has inspired me more and more to embrace life!!! We only get one life, so just enjoy it, right? 🙂

    HUGS!ReplyCancel

There are two days in every week when I head in one direction and the rest of my family heads in another.  Chad rises in the early morning hours, what others would consider the middle of the night, and carries the kids with their blankets and clothes for the day and places them in the […]
