Kleenex, coughing fits, runny noses, ear infections, Amoxicillin, cough medicine, children’s Tylenol, and constant preaching. . . wash your hands, get a Kleenex, don’t wipe your nose on your shirt, please don’t put your face in Meadow’s face–we don’t want her to get sick. (This one never works–they are like magnets to Meadow).  What a […]

Glad you were able to get out and enjoy nature for a lil while! 🙂 I think every Mommy needs that every now and then, especially after a week spent at home taking care of sick kiddos.

So beautiful and so true. You always seem to say exactly what I'm thinking/feeling, but waaaaaaay better. You have a gift. You do.

…and it's nice to know someone else is just like me. I was starting to lose it today and luckily, my inlaws came to watch the kids for me so I could step away, alone, for an hour. The funny part is, when I'm away, I always think of the moment I get back home to see their little faces. It's my reminder that there isn't anything better out there. I'm not missing a thing. 😉

LOVE the photo of you and the sun. Love it.ReplyCancel

Is it possible for a week to go extremely fast and extremely slow at the same time? On one hand, I find myself saying is it Friday already?  But on the other hand I am thinking is it Friday yet?!  The week was both long and short. Reviving and exhausting.  Good and not-so-good.  Do you […]

I am always amazed how similar our lives are, even on a weekly basis.

I don't think M minds being entertainment. She just always looks so….content. Her eyes are calming. She is totally a mini C. I see it. Such a doll baby.

Love C's eyelashes. They remind me of E's. I'm jealous too.

Love the Adventures in Babysitting reference.

Hope you have a great, healthy, weekend!ReplyCancel

    Summer,
I don't know you. You don't know me. But I follow your blog and have for quite a while. Yes, I'm one of those blog stalkers 🙂 Because I love your posts about motherhood and life and children and (more than anything) love, I nominated you on my blog for the Liebster blog award (http://100letterstoyou.blogspot.com/2012/01/liebster-blog-award.html). If you don't participate in blog awards, that's okay. I just wanted to let you know that your posts are read, and appreciated. Your children are beautiful, and your insight to what really matters in life is amazing. After all, what's a messy living room as long as you're making memories 🙂

I’m a really big believer that we all have this voice inside of us, and that voice is God talking to us, and we are all magical, and we all have something as specific to do as our fingerprint.  And everybody should go out and do that.  And I think between the ages of 15 […]

Love being part of your journey as it helps me on my own journey. Words are so important!!! How we say them, the tone we use, how the other person hears them.

I must have been 12, or maybe 13.  It could have been Thanksgiving Day, but I can’t be certain.  I remember it was cold.  Very, very cold.  It was raining, too. Or snowing. Or probably more like sleeting.  I remember the thick, dense clouds that hung low in the sky.  It’s difficult to remember a […]
