What lens are you using for bokeh? I am asking for a new one for Chrsitmas to help me with this…ReplyCancel

@Ky. . . the bokeh is created by the focus, not necessarily the lens. The light creates the focus. Most of my most recent photos have been taken with my 55 mm lens because I'm too lazy to change it, but any lens will create it if you get the lighting and focus. What lens are you looking at?ReplyCancel

Love the fingers! And I bet you can do it! Just think if you gave lessons you could stay home every day:). Just a thought from someone who is trying to learn more.ReplyCancel

I’m having a very difficult time putting it into words. . . The things I’ve been thinking. . .the things I’ve been feeling.  How do I accurately describe the way my heart has nearly exploded with love from the deepest parts of my soul?  Words. . . they fail me. . . but still, I […]

I love sibling pictures. So sweet. Great photos of little Meadow, who appears to be growing up too fast. She looks like a 'baby' a little more than a 'newborn' now. Sigh.ReplyCancel

  • lisa - December 1, 2011 - 4:43 pm

Oh my goodness! Crying now as I read your beautiful words that DO capture the beauty and magnitude of being a mom! It really is amazing what happens to us as we grow from being a "woman" to being a "mom"…it's such an incredible feeling!!! Savor every second…for as I look at my "baby" who is 8 1/2 now and looking at these beautiful photos of Meadow make me go back to his newborn days- like it was just yesterday! – and I sooo miss his babyness and wish I could stop his growing up! Love the photos!

ps…your words did not fail you at all…you have such a beautiful gift and I thank you for sharing it! ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

Their is more important things in life:) It will get done when it gets done. May you enjoy each moment with your family. We love to hear your heart and see the pics!!!!ReplyCancel

Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only one who is just feeling my way through this Motherhood thing.  If I’m the only one that is breathing in and out silent prayers all day long hoping and praying that I’m not messing up too much or that long term effects will not be felt from my […]

I LOVE this post! The whole first part is totally me and made me feel a whole lot better about parenting in general. Somedays, man, I feel lost…or like browsing Amazon for a book to TELL ME what to do. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Glad to hear you are human too.

What a fun little surprise for Chanelle. Great idea. I'm sure she feels more connected to you now that you both have the 'same role'. What great mommies you both are.

(We have the same crib. Why wouldn't we?)ReplyCancel

O I know how you feel but you are doing a great job. I know sometimes I did the right thing and sometimes not. That is just life. But with Gods help, family and friends and lots of prayer we all will do a great job. From what I see you are doing great along with Chad. Love the doll idea. I must have done something right though, bc even though my sons and I don't always see things the sane, it doesn't matter when you get a note, an email, text, saying how great a mom you are!ReplyCancel

  • Ky โ€ข twopretzels.com - December 2, 2011 - 7:44 pm

I love this post (and pics too!). What a brilliant idea to have Chanelle's baby share a room with Meadow! You are so clever. You are teaching Chanelle so much just by doing what you are doing–being an incredible mom! ๐Ÿ™‚

“I miss you guys.”  “I know, I miss you all, too.” “You better not be starting a new trend with this.” “Don’t worry, that’s not the plan.” This was part of a conversation my sister and I had on Thanksgiving day.  I was at home and she was at my Dad’s house two hours away.  […]

Memories and traditions are great. Over the years we have done that. Too. My family didn't have a lot of traditions. One thing that was the best were the times we spent just us four at home on Christmas with the grandparents coming over later.

I wonder if those pj s come in my size? Love themReplyCancel
