“I would rather live in a world where my life is surrounded by mystery than live in a world so small that my mind could comprehend it.” – Harry Emerson Fosdick I believe these words.  Honestly, every fiber of my being believes them to be true.  In fact, if I were a shouting out, “Amen!” […]

Thank YOU Summer!!! You and your beautiful words & thoughts are so helpful and inspiring to me. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hope this week is great!

Gorgeous photo…(feel so redundant to keep saying that almost every post of yours…but I have to share it with you!!) Do you have any book that you've read that has really helped you with your photos that you wouldn't mind sharing the title? You've really inspired me! ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

Lisa. . . thank you so much for your constant encouragement with my photos (and life.) ๐Ÿ™‚ It's comments like yours that keep me believing that I might actually get a grip on this photography stuff.

The only book I really bought is the Shutter Sister's Expressive Photography book. It is excellent. There is not a lot about technique in it, but by looking at the photos in the book I realized that EVERYTHING is beautiful and worth capturing. I have SO much to learn, but the biggest thing the book has taught me is to SEE the beauty and capture it. I would highly recommend it!ReplyCancel

O Summer we are glad for your words, pictures, and honesty. Is that not why we are friends. We all have those moments. The first thing on the computer I do each day is look to see what you have written to inspire me! I love the quote and the picture. You have inspired me with both. I have always loved taking pics but they are just pics. Not what you do. I wish I could. That is a dream of mine. LyReplyCancel

I am an idealist.  I tend to believe the best about people.  To be hopeful when things seem hopeless.  To see the beauty.  To dwell on the good.  To believe that in the end. . . all will turn out just as it should.  This week, however, has been different.  Somehow, I’ve found myself stuck.  […]

Hugs! I hope you start feeling better soon.

I was thinking of you yesterday while out running errands. The trees and landscape were AMAZINGly beautiful yesterday…Sophia commented that someone painted the trees 'rainbow' colored. I kept thinking…"Gosh, I bet Summer could capture this vision in all it's beauty". …and little did I know, you were out capturing your own beauty. Lovely photos.ReplyCancel

Beautiful…absolutely beautiful! Lovely bokeh in these pics… I'm soooooo impressed!

Maybe there's a full moon because I've had similar experiences this week…huge blow today that may continue to implode with unimaginable possibilities- and not of the good kind…hugs to you!! ๐Ÿ™‚

    love the quote!ReplyCancel

O Summer I really think if we are all honest we all lose our mojo at times. We doubt decisions made, we do dumb things, whatever. I know when the boys were small I too wanted to protect them. I still do. But they like us will have to grow up and learn just like we did in this broken world. At least we have God on our side. Can't wait to meet this sweet new baby! Hope you can sleep tonight:). LyReplyCancel

I admire you for putting your thoughts and feelings out there. I think there are all different kinds of mojo…for different times. You will get it back and it will be strong from this period of time.

Isn’t there a saying about laughter?  Laughter is the best medicine?  I wonder if doctors ever prescribe it.  You know, after listening to a patient describe their ailment(s) I can just see the white-coated physician pull out their script pad and with the most serious face begin writing.  I can imagine the doctor scribbling furiously […]

“Beautifully crafted words have the power to captivate the mind of anybody.” -Sam Veda I haven’t hidden my love for beautiful words.  Let’s be honest, a third of the blog is made up of the words of others.  Words that have grabbed my heart and left me reeling by their power.  Sometimes, I go searching […]

What great words! …and words I really need to repeat to myself over and over, as we are in the midst of venturing into something terrifying to my safe/secure/planner of a self.ReplyCancel

O those grab me….I was just talking to Shawn how Darrick and me are so much alike except in one area for sure. Darrick (our 22 year old who is currently doing internship in DC). He takes the chances life gives him. He is not afraid. Where I am more scared and dont want to fail at something. Hmmm. Now I have to think about it. Need to get the bookReplyCancel

Oh, I think I'd really enjoy this book! It reminds me of a poem by Erma Bombeck about parenthood and what she would've done over. There are so many things I'd do differently- but I still have time. I need to tuck these words in my heart and start living them!

Thanks blog-friend for sharing them! ๐Ÿ™‚
