I still remember the first time I saw him.  It was in chapel during my junior year of college.  I was sitting up in the grandstand seating and he was toward the back row on the ground level.  I didn’t know anything about him, except that I thought he was, well, hot.  Later that day […]

What a great story and a great marriage you two have!!!ReplyCancel

Not too long ago I was running on a sparsely traveled country road in the early morning hours.  The sun had just popped over the horizon and was coloring the morning with bright rays that warmed my back.  It was a quiet morning and the birds provided music that accompained the sounds that were playing […]

    1) I like your new header.

    2) My husband and I were just talking about this subject last night. I wish everyone put themselves in someone else's shoes before passing judgement. No one's life is easy…everyone is fighting some battle.

    3) I'm glad you are okay!ReplyCancel

  • Adopted Aunt - June 2, 2011 - 1:57 am

I have been Inhaling! First iam so glad you are ok! And I do believe we all have stories good and bad. We should not pass judgement until we know the story. Thanks for reminder! Can't wait to see kids tommorrow. Don't worry we all say or don't say what we should. But we need to be more intential about it.ReplyCancel

Great post and photos like always! I have been thinking on this very subject. I grew up in a pretty closed minded environment and it has taken me quite sometime to shake those bonds. Sending prayers that we can both change that with the next generation. ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

Today was Oprah’s final episode.  (In case you are living under a rock and didn’t know.)  I haven’t watched the episode yet, but I’m guessing I will get a lump in my throat.  I can admit it. . . I’m a fan.  I DVR her show.  I DVR Dr. Phil, too.  (Now that I have […]

What a great quote! My heart completely skipped a beat when I read that! What a very wise soul he was. Have you ever read Ann Voskamp's One Thousand Gifts? She talks about this very thing. Living present in the moment. Her theory is that we were made to give praise and thanks to God and the very act of doing that slows down time and allows us to be fully present in the moment. It's a very good read!ReplyCancel

That was the name of the poem that was read at my little guy’s graduation.  On Children, by Kihlil Gibran is a poignant and beautiful reminder of what our children are and what they aren’t. When we got to the graduation and they called the children up front, Charlie’s eyes immediately filled with tears and […]

Congratulations, Charlie! ๐Ÿ™‚ Love the poem, and I especially love Charlie's face in the picture where Chanelle's hugging him. ๐Ÿ™‚ That about sums up the older/younger sibling relationship sometimes, doesn't it? Heehee.ReplyCancel

Make me cry:) how cool and we were so blessed to be a small part of this first big milestone. That is why God gave them to us. He has grown up so much just In the last year. He is curious about everything and sometimes asked things I don't know. Seeing his face when he saw the decorations was great. You will always be mom. I love how you express the feelings so wellReplyCancel

What a beautiful poem! Congrats to Charlie! (and Congrats to you Mama for making it through the graduation!!) I understand the emotions of watching your child go from preschool to being a big Kindergartner! Its another reminder that they are growing up. It can be sad (oh yes, indeed!) but it can also be SO EXCITING! So many new things to come. ๐Ÿ™‚ So, keep that camera charged and be ready for some amazing awesome things to capture and place on this blog.ReplyCancel

I have baby books for both Charlie and Chanelle.  Charlie’s baby book is full.  Chanelle’s, well, let’s just say its pages remain quite sparse.  Since I started blogging, I was able to rationalize my lack of commitment to her little book with elephants and giraffe’s on the front by telling myself that the blog is […]
